12th Australian Space Forum

The Andy Thomas Space Foundation was delighted to welcome more than 700 attendees to the 12th Australian Space Forum on Wednesday, 15 September 2021 at the Adelaide Convention Centre in South Australia.

Supported by the Australian Space Agency, the South Australian Space Industry Centre and SmartSat CRC, this edition provided the perfect opportunity to stimulate ideas, share information about emerging technologies and network with space sector leaders and the broader community.

Participants were able to attend in-person, or virtually through the event’s global interactive platform.

Forum Program

Once again, this iconic event was not to be missed and represented one of the foremost events on the national space industry calendar.

Participants enjoyed another high-profile program, which showcased the best of the Australian space sector, and encouraged collaboration and investment.

Forum sessions included international panels covering the following thematic areas:

  • National & international space trends
  • Moving from cubesat to larger satellites – building Australian expertise and capability
  • Reimagining the social, environmental and economic opportunities enabled by earth observation technologies
  • On-Earth and off-Earth remote operations – in the context of human exploration as well as applications right here on Earth

The 12th Australian Space Forum was a key event on the 2021 space agenda and presented a great opportunity to network and build relationships within the Australian space sector.

Save the date! 13th Australian Space Forum – Thursday 3 March 2022!

Space Passport Program

Held in conjunction with the 12th Australian Space Forum, and run by The Department for Education, Advanced Technology Program, the Space Passport sessions provided secondary school students with the opportunity to learn about space careers direct from companies involved with the Australian Space Sector, and to tour Lot Fourteen.

2021 Space & Geospatial Collaborative Workshop Adelaide

In view of the current COVID-related travel restrictions, the organisers of the Space & Geospatial Collaborative Workshop have made the difficult decision to postpone the event until 2022.

We hope to run it in conjunction with the Australian Space Forum in March 2022 in Adelaide. Watch this space for further information.
